The halls of the Maliotis Cultural Center came alive last night, May 24, 2025, as they proudly hosted the Welcoming Dinner for the participants of the 11th International Summer University—a truly global initiative that celebrates the Greek language, culture, and media.
Professor Nikoletta Tsitsanoudis Mallidis, Dean of School of Education of University of Ioannina founder of the program, together with Chrysoula Kourkounti, Executive Director of the Maliotis Center and co-organizer, warmly welcomed participants from around the world who have gathered here in Boston to share in this educational and cultural journey.
Esteemed guests offered greetings that uplifted and inspired:
• Ioannis Iosif Plakiotakis, first Vice President of the Hellenic Parliament
• Symeon Tegos, Consul General of Greece in Boston
• Dr. Dimitrios Katos, President of Hellenic College–Holy Cross
• George Cantonis, former President of Hellenic College–Holy Cross
