A reader’s guide to what’s new, what’s next, and how you can be part of it
We’re so glad you’re here.
The new OrthodoxObserver.org was built with one mission in mind: to tell the stories of our Church, our people, and our faith—every day, in real time. While the Orthodox Observer has always chronicled the life of the Archdiocese, this new platform represents a major leap forward. It’s designed to inform, inspire, and connect readers across the country and around the world.
Importantly, this site doesn’t replace GOArch.org, but complements it.
The Archdiocese’s main site will remain your destination for ministries, resources, parishes, and official documents. OrthodoxObserver.org, on the other hand, is 100% focused on news, features, culture, opinion, and multimedia—a full-fledged digital publication ready to meet the pace and rhythm of the modern world.
A menu designed with you in mind
We’ve organized the site into sections that will help you find the content most relevant to you, whether you’re looking for serious news or joyful community stories. Some of the sections you’ll see up top:
- News – Coverage from across the Archdiocese, the Metropolises, and the Orthodox world
- Voices – Opinion, commentary, and reflection from clergy, laity, and youth
- Photo & Video – All the multimedia in one fast-growing library
- Culture – Art, music, books, food, history, and Hellenic heritage
- Events – Big moments, from major liturgical seasons to parish festivals and pilgrimages
You’ll also find recurring features, special sections tied to major initiatives, and a handful of rotating front-page stories selected by our editorial team. We’ll continue evolving the menu as new content streams develop.

Tell your story, in your own voice
We believe everyone in our Church has a story worth telling.

You’ll find submission guidelines under the “Your Voices” section, or you can just email us directly. Let’s make this site a true reflection of our Church’s breadth and beauty.
Thank you for being here!
