Your Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, on behalf of myself and all, we welcome you to the Metropolis of Denver and to our annual Clergy Laity Assembly. Nearly a year has passed since my enthronement to the sacred Throne of the Metropolis of Denver, and publicly again, I thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

Yesterday, June 16, 2025, clergy and parishioners gathered for the Metropolis of Denver’s 2025 Clergy-Laity Assembly in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

This weekend, the Orthodox Observer’s Corinna Robinson interviewed Metropolitan Constantine of Denver during his visit to Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Over the past few days, His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver blessed two new crosses in Texas. 

This week, Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Seminary were delighted to welcome back His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver to the HCHC campus, his first visit since his enthronement as Metropolitan.

I begin by offering my extreme gratitude to His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, along with the members of the sacred Eparchial Synod who recommended me to succeed His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Lystra, who served this Metropolis was zeal, love and prayer.

Saturday, June 22, 2024 we will celebrate the Enthronement of His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver. The service will take place at 10am at the Assumption Cathedral in Denver, CO.

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America presided today over the session of the Holy Eparchial Synod meeting, which convened via teleconference, in order to appoint, in accordance with the current Charter of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, the Locum Tenens of the now vacant Holy Metropolis of Denver, following the submission of the resignation of His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah and his subsequent election by the Holy and Sacred Synod (March 23, 2024) as Metropolitan of Lystra.

It is with much emotion that His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, the hierarchy and all of the clergy and faithful in America, especially in the Metropolis of Denver, learned of the resignation of Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver and his election by the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate as Metropolitan of Lystra.

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America attended the Metropolis of Denver Clergy Laity Assembly and Clergy Syndesmos Retreat held in Tulsa, OK from Monday, February 19 through Wednesday, February 21, 2024. The chancellor of the Metropolis, His Grace Bishop Constantine of Sassima warmly welcomed His Eminence of behalf of His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver and the entire Metropolis. The Archbishop participated in the works of the assembly and had the opportunity to dialogue with the participants on a variety of topics discussed.

Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am so very pleased indeed to join you in Tulsa, for the Clergy-Laity Assembly of the Holy Metropolis of Denver. As all of you noticed, I did not address specifically your beloved Archpastor, His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver.

He is currently at the Holy Archangels Monastery in Kendalia, Texas, having just celebrated his ninety-third birthday last month. Allow me a few moments to say something about your Metropolitan, and by beloved brother in Christ, in his absence. His Eminence has served you as both the last Bishop of your time as a Diocese, and your first Hierarch as a Metropolis.

The Metropolis of Denver is pleased to announce the second annual YAL Snow Conference, taking place in Winter Park, Colorado from January 18 – 21, 2024.  This event is for young adults aged 19 to 34 and is designed to help foster fellowship amongst young adults and further their relationship with Christ and His Church. Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18, 2023, the Metropolis of Denver is hosting an Altar Boy Retreat at the Ponderosa Retreat and Conference Center in Larkspur, Colorado.

Discussions on the revision of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese’s Charter continued on Thursday, August 3, as His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America held virtual forums with clergy from the Metropolises of Pittsburgh and Denver.

Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, together with Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco, traveled to Denver, Colorado on July 29, 2023, where the hierarchs visited the Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver, who is recovering from a recent injury.

The Metropolis of Denver Young Adult League (YAL) gathered in Midway, Utah for their first YAL Snow Conference in recent years. The conference was opened by His Grace, Bishop Constantine of Sassima, who was the keynote speaker for the weekend.

The Metropolis of Denver held their Annual Clergy Retreat on February 7-8 at the Metropolis Center and the Assumption Cathedral of Denver.
