To be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017
NEW YORK – The 2017 annual Staff Development Seminar, organized by the Direct Archdiocesan District Office of Education, will be held Tuesday, November 7 (Election Day), at St. Demetrios High School in Astoria. The Seminar aims at offering in-service training to teachers who serve in the District’s Greek-American day schools as well as the Greek afternoon/Saturday schools.
Held under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios Geron of America, the Seminar will include a series of workshops for the teachers of the English program of the NYC day schools intended for grades K – 12.
For the Greek program, the DAD Office of Education has invited an exceptional educator – Ms. Haroula Ntalla, lecturer at Brooklyn College/CUNY. Ms. Ntalla will refer to the learning disabilities/difficulties of students at an early age and ways to address them.
All the teachers of the Direct Archdiocesan District as well as those serving in the neighboring areas are invited to attend the November 7 Staff Development Seminar and benefit from interesting and useful workshops.
For registration information call 212-570-3552 or e-mail education@goarch.org
