Where Hellenism, Orthodox Christianity, and a strong academic curriculum converge, the Saint Demetrios Greek-American School has been offering an unparalleled educational experience in New York for nearly seven decades. From preschool through 12th grade, students begin their days with prayer, immerse themselves in the Greek language, history, and culture, and are encouraged to develop critical thinking and analytical skills in English Language Arts, math, and other core subjects.
Saint Demetrios Greek-American School’s dedicated teachers and staff create a nurturing environment where every student is valued and encouraged to succeed. Guided by the Ancient Greek principle “Ever to Excel,” they pave the way for students to work hard and reach their full potential. This commitment to excellence is reflected in students’ acceptance to prestigious universities and success as professionals in law, medicine, finance, and many other fields. Many alumni return to teach the next generation or to enroll their own children or grandchildren. Discover the Saint Demetrios Greek-American School—there is no other school like it.
