Presvytera Melanie DiStefano and Rachael Giannis join Fr. Chris Metropulos from Orthodox Christian Network (OCN) to discuss existing barriers for disabled individuals in parish life, and how these problems are being, and can be, addressed. Presvytera Melanie DiStefano is the Resource Developer at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese’s Center for Family Care, which is leading the new “On Behalf of All” ministry toward the full inclusion of people with disabilities in parish life. Rachael Giannis is a parishioner at Saint Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg, FL, a pilot parish for new accessibility initiatives.
