HOUSTON – With the blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver, The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denver will host a Young Adult Conference on September 1 – 4, 2017 in Houston. The Conference will offer participants Christ-centered fellowship based on the theme of “Keeping the Faith: Living Beacons of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.” All Orthodox young adults, ages 19-32, from across the nation are invited to attend!
The host committee, and Fr. Michael Lambakis, Dean of Annunciation Cathedral, have begun working diligently to provide a full program for the weekend. The Holy Metropolis of Denver is very blessed to have a dedicated group of professionals and volunteers who care deeply about the opportunities afforded to Orthodox young adults, and they are very excited to provide three days of faith and fellowship, as well as an opportunity to connect with young people from around the country.
The scheduled program begins on Friday, September 1 at the Whitehall Hotel with registration and comedic musical talents of SoTiri. On Saturday, September 2 clergy will lead workshops based on the weekend’s theme, and participants will close the day with a fun-filled country western event at the Redneck Country Club. On Sunday, participants will celebrate Divine Liturgy at the Whitehall Hotel. Closing out the weekend is a pool party at the hotel, grand banquet and special performer Basil the Comedian.
