More than two million children in Gaza and the West Bank live each day under unimaginable conditions and brutal oppression. Bombs fall without warning. Families are torn apart. Deep wounds scar young hearts. For many, childhood itself is stolen.
These lives are not simply statistics–each of these children is precious. Each name belongs to a beloved child of God.
This fall, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOARCH) is joining Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) as a sponsor of the “Let Children Live” campaign. This global, faith-rooted campaign calls on Christian communities to lift up the names and lives of Palestinian children through prayer, worship, and public advocacy.
How it works:
- Receive the name of a Palestinian child.
- Pray for that child by name, in your personal prayers or during parish worship.
- Use the Toolkit for Action to integrate prayers, liturgical resources, and advocacy steps into your community’s life.
- Return throughout the season for new prayers, solidarity opportunities, and ways to keep the child’s name present in your community.
As Orthodox Christians, we are called to love and protect the most vulnerable, to be peacemakers, and to proclaim the dignity of every human life.
GOARCH invites every parish, priest, and faithful member of our Archdiocese to take part. Through this campaign, we bear witness to Christ’s love by remembering children the world has too often forgotten.
